CoFlow Partnership Program – Frequently Asked Questions

  • The CoFlow Partnership Program is a collaborative care model that allows regulated mental-health clinicians to bring their own clients into Flowstate Therapy for medically-supported experiential sessions in a safe, structured clinical setting. Therapists remain the primary provider while Flowstate supplies medical oversight, environment, and session support.

  • CoFlow is ideal for psychotherapists, social workers, psychologists, counsellors, and other clinicians who offer psychedelic-informed or altered-state psychotherapy and want access to a professional clinical environment with medical support.

  • Yes. Clinicians must have foundational training in experiential or psychedelic-informed psychotherapy, including competence in preparation, navigation, and integration. Flowstate can recommend reputable training programs if needed.

  • You do. As the referring therapist, you remain the client’s primary clinician, and all therapeutic work — preparation, intention-setting, and integration — stays in your domain.

  • Flowstate Therapy provides:

    • A regulated clinical environment designed for experiential sessions

    • Medical assessments and safety screening

    • In-session monitoring by a Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse

    • Access to comfortable, private therapy rooms

    • Administrative support for scheduling and documentation

    • Integration collaboration with your ongoing therapy plan

  • Clients are referred directly through the CoFlow referral form or by contacting Flowstate Therapy. Once received, our team coordinates medical screening, administrative onboarding, and communication with you so the client’s care pathway remains seamless.

  • No. Flowstate does not assume long-term care. The CoFlow model is intentionally built so you stay the primary therapist while leveraging our clinical team for the experiential component only.

  • You provide all preparation sessions and integration sessions with your client as part of your ongoing therapeutic work. Flowstate’s clinical team can offer additional support or consultation when useful but does not replace your role.

  • All experiential sessions occur with medical oversight, which may include vital sign monitoring, dosing decisions, and clinical readiness assessments. Flowstate follows rigorous protocols developed by our medical team to ensure client safety throughout the process.

  • Clients pay Flowstate Therapy directly for the experiential component, including medical assessments, clinical oversight, and session support. You maintain your regular therapeutic fee schedule with the client for preparation and integration.

  • We maintain transparent, collaborative communication. Therapists receive updates at key stages: screening results, session scheduling, medical considerations relevant to therapy, and post-session observations (when appropriate and with consent).

  • Yes. CoFlow is intentionally designed to support independent clinicians who may not have access to a clinical space for experiential work. Virtual practitioners can participate as long as they conduct preparation and integration sessions themselves and maintain alignment with regulatory standards.

  • No. There is no cost for therapists to join or maintain membership in the CoFlow Partnership Program.

  • Yes — Flowstate offers case consultation, mentorship opportunities, and periodic professional learning sessions for clinicians who want to refine their experiential psychotherapy skills.

  • Simply complete the CoFlow interest form or contact our team. We will schedule an orientation call to walk you through the process, answer questions, and ensure the program fits your practice and your clients’ needs.
