Prior to commencing my career as a therapist I embarked on an explorative journey of personal growth. Having experienced the profound ways in which healing can emerge, I am passionate about supporting others in connecting with their inherent capacity for healing. With unwavering compassion and acceptance my goal is to offer you a place where you feel understood and safe to express yourself no matter your situation.I have a degree in addictions counselling and a master’s in counselling with a specializations in psychedelics and consciousness. I use a person-centred approach which prioritizes individual needs and comfort levels. Drawing on various trauma informed modalities including Parts work from IFS, Mindfulness Based CBT, Compassionate Inquiry, and Inner Child Work I am committed to facilitating psychotherapy in a way that embodies safety and connection.

Jacob is a Registered Social Worker who has been working in the field of mental health care and addictions since 2015. Having transitioned from an earlier career in evolutionary-developmental biology, his psychotherapeutic approach is informed by evolutionary theory, attachment, polyvagal, narrative and somatic modalities. He is certified in CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing. Jacob has worked alongside individuals and facilitated therapy groups in a variety of clinical/ community/hospital settings. Jacob explores with clients the many ways in which invalidating and stressful social and physical environments contribute to the onset of nervous system dysregulation; leading to depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, PTSD, OCD and chronic physical pain. Jacob is excited to support clients using ketamine and other psychedelic medicines to restore a felt sense of safety and nervous system regulation, gain personal insight and new perspectives, and enable one’s innate healing capacity. He believes that ketamine can help “remind” our nervous systems what safety feels like. By cultivating connection to our authentic selves we can more easily strengthen our bonds with our loved ones, our community and nature. On the side, Jacob is a community organizer, plays guitar in a local funk band and enjoys trail running in Gatineau Park.

I'm a registered psychotherapist with a warm, down-to-earth approach and a deep commitment to helping people navigate life's challenges. I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and periods of change where greater clarity is needed. Drawing from both psychology and spirituality, my passion lies in translating profound insights into pragmatic, practical tools that help you live more fully, becoming more effective in your personal life, building higher relational capacity, and cultivating deeper, richer character.
Before entering this profession, I served as a first responder, which gives me firsthand understanding of the intense demands and unique struggles in that field. This experience drives my specialized focus on supporting first responders with PTSD, institutional betrayal, and moral injury, using evidence-based treatments tailored to these deeply complex issues.
My style is collaborative and non-judgmental, evidence-based approaches (such as EMDR, CPT, CBT, clinical hypnosis, and psychodynamic insights) with genuine empathy and compassion to create a safe space for healing. Whether you're seeking relief from overwhelming emotions, clarity during transitions, or lasting ways to live with greater purpose and connection, I'm here to support you with kindness and expertise.

Is there an aspect of your life that overwhelms you and leaves you feeling like you need help? Living life authentically often leads us to encounter these types of challenges. Sometimes we can trace the origin of our distress back to a particular event or experience such as a relationship or job dissatisfaction. Other times, the origins are more hidden and leave us scared and confused. This distress can take many forms, typically depression and anxiety. Talking openly in the safety and confidentiality of a therapeutic relationship can bring some relief.Humans have evolved to be social beings. Psychotherapy is both a healthy way to express our humanity, and a social process that contributes to our health. Expressing your suffering in a trusting relationship can lead to a healthy release of emotions and is a creative way to bring meaning to your distress, making it more conscious and manageable.
I offer an empathic and non-judgmental attitude as a basis for forming a collaborative relationship with you. The therapy I provide can help you experience life more deeply, enjoy more satisfying relationships, resolve painful conflicts, and better integrate all parts of your personality.

For more than 20 years, I have supported growth both as a teacher and life coach, and today I carry that same spirit into my work as an intern psychotherapist. At my core, I bring a down-to-earth presence, creating a safe space to share your experiences.
As a Master’s student in Counselling and Spirituality at Saint Paul University, I hold a trauma-informed presence, guided by trust and curiosity, in our work together. With your needs as our compass, I draw from a range of approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based CBT, and parts work to support growth in ways that feel meaningful to you.
Nature inspires me with its reminder that growth is not a straight path; it bends, pauses, and blossoms in its own rhythm. Having walked through seasons of change myself, I understand how challenging and transformative the journey can be, and I honor the courage it takes to walk this path.

All things seek wholeness. We are wired to experience interconnectedness—with our inner parts, with others, with the Earth, and with the greater web of Life. Shame, loneliness, purposelessness, emptiness, pain, grief - much of our suffering stems from some form of disconnection: from parts of ourselves, our relationships, our communities, from the Land. Healing is, at its core, relational. My practice blends trauma-informed presence, decolonizing worldviews, somatic processing, and subconscious repatterning, to address the root causes of challenges at an embodied level. I integrate tools from NeuroAffective Relational Model, Integrated Attachment Theory, IFS, focusing, and inner child healing and I can incorporate expressive arts, movement, and body-based inquiry.

Hi! I’m Lindsay. I provide warm, individualized, compassionate care. I truly believe that we all carry our own backpacks through life, in which there are stories, experiences, knowledge and wisdom that are unique to us.
I completed my Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Trent university where I completed my undergraduate thesis in Trauma-Informed Nursing Care.
My professional Nursing background is in Inpatient Surgery and Surgical Constant Care in Peterborough Ontario where I was able to help support my patients and their loved ones during critical and life changing times. In 2025, I decided to step away from the hospital setting and move back home to Ottawa to pursue Nursing with a more holistic lens, where I can tailor my care to my patient’s individualized needs and adopt an integrative approach to the care I provide.
I have a passion for health promotion and population health, and with deep knowledge of the social determinants of health, I strive to break down the barriers that prevent folks from receiving equitable care.
I believe we all have our own definition of what health means to us and that there are many ways to achieve that, including holistic and unique modalities. That is a snapshot of what is in my backpack- I’d love to learn about what’s in yours! I would be honoured to support you through your journey here with us at FlowState Therapy!

I provide calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental care to support people through the deep work of healing. My approach is client-centered and rooted in the belief that care should honour the whole person—their mind, body, spirit, and story.
My nursing background is grounded in pediatric palliative care, where I had the honour of supporting children with complex medical needs and walking alongside their families through some of life’s most tender and challenging moments. That work deepened my belief in the power of relationship—the healing that can happen simply through presence, trust, and connection. I’ve developed a deep respect for the vulnerability and strength that coexist in these spaces, and a strong commitment to care that is attuned, relational, and grounded in meaning.
Building on this foundation, I aspire to become an art therapist, blending my clinical experience with my passion for the creative arts. I believe creative expression offers a unique and powerful way to support emotional integration and healing, complementing the attuned, relational care I have always valued.

Founder & Clinic Manager, Flowstate Therapy
Hi, I’m Binyamin—Founder and Clinic Manager at Flowstate Therapy. I’ve been a Registered Nurse for over 15 years, starting out in the fast-paced world of emergency care. Those early years taught me how to stay grounded in chaos, think critically, and care deeply for people in their most vulnerable moments.
Later, I shifted into a role as a Nurse Consultant at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, working closely with first responders dealing with PTSD and other workplace-related mental health injuries. That experience opened my eyes to how complex, personal, and underserved mental health care can be—and it’s where I started asking deeper questions about how we can do better.
That curiosity eventually led me to explore alternative approaches to healing, including the emerging world of psychedelic therapy. While I haven’t gone through formal training (yet), I’ve spent the past few years immersed in research, learning, and hands-on experience in the field.
Flowstate Therapy is the result of everything I’ve learned so far: a space that brings together clinical care, compassion, and a belief that healing looks different for everyone. I’m here to support our clients, collaborate with an amazing team, and help build something meaningful for our community.
