Restore Your Resilience.
Experience non-invasive, effortless brain training that supports mental clarity, emotional balance, and deeper healing.
A Gentle Way to Help the Brain Reset
Neurofeedback is a powerful, non-invasive technology that helps the brain regulate itself more effectively. At FlowState Therapy, we use NeurOptimal® Dynamical Neurofeedback, a next-generation system designed to promote flexibility and resilience in the brain — no diagnosis required, no effort needed.
Rather than pushing the brain in a specific direction, NeurOptimal® offers real-time feedback to help your brain notice its own activity and self-correct naturally. Over time, this can lead to noticeable improvements in emotional regulation, focus, sleep, and overall well-being.
How Neurofeedback Can Help
While not a medical treatment, neurofeedback has been shown to be a powerful addition to traditional therapies for the symptoms of and often report improvements in:
✅ Sleep quality and energy
✅ Mental clarity and focus
✅ Emotional stability and resilience
✅ Anxiety, depression, and trauma-related symptoms
✅ Chronic pain, fatigue, or migraines
✅ ADHD and attention issues
✅ Performance (creative, athletic, or professional)
Neurofeedback is not a treatment — it's a training. It supports your brain's natural capacity to regulate itself.
What Happens in a Session?
We understand that healing isn’t just about talking — it’s about helping the brain regain its natural rhythm. That’s why we offer neurofeedback at FlowState Therapy: a gentle, non-invasive way to support your nervous system’s ability to self-regulate. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, this technology helps your brain find its way back to clarity, calm, and resilience — all without effort or conscious control.
You’ll sit comfortably in a chair with sensors gently placed on your scalp and ears (they simply read your brainwaves).
You’ll listen to music or watch visuals — no tasks, no effort.
When your brain shifts, the music subtly interrupts. That moment of feedback invites your brain to re-regulate itself.
Sessions last about 45 minutes. Most people report feeling calmer, clearer, or more focused afterward.

Neurofeedback is often used to support symptoms related to anxiety, stress, ADHD, mood instability, sleep difficulties, and cognitive performance. It’s also used by individuals seeking peak performance, nervous system regulation, or deeper clarity and focus in daily life.

Yes. Neurofeedback sessions at Flowstate Therapy are billed under psychotherapy, which is covered by most extended health insurance providers including Sun Life, Canada Life, Blue Cross, and others. We’ll provide receipts you can use for reimbursement.
-
Neurofeedback is non-invasive and relaxing. During your session, you’ll sit comfortably while sensors measure your brain’s activity. Feedback is delivered through sound, visuals, or subtle interruptions in music—there’s no electric stimulation or effort required on your part.
-
Each person’s brain is unique, so the number of sessions varies. Some people notice changes within a few sessions, while others benefit from a longer series. A typical neurofeedback program includes between 10–20 sessions, with progress reviewed along the way.
-
We use the NeurOptimal® Dynamical Neurofeedback system—a cutting-edge, non-linear technology that helps your brain optimize itself. Unlike older protocols that target specific diagnoses, NeurOptimal® works with your brain as a whole, supporting natural self-regulation without pushing or stimulating it.
